Isle Royale Sea Kayaking
Isle Royale Sea Kayaking

In many cases, the goal with trip posters is simply to showcase the surrounding scenery. I found a picture that worked great with a wide, panoramic crop, and over-saturated some of the color. The odd, wide dimensions of the final piece compliment the panoramic photo. full-color; 18 x 10 in.

Hike the Canyon
Hike the Canyon

I was striving for a weathered look, like the poster had been around and usedd for a long time. Kind of grungy and used, or established. But also allowing the beauty of the destination do its part in selling the trip. full-color; 17 x 11 in.

Spain
Spain

A neat effect that I've seen in some film titles - giving depth to the type by putting it in perspective and adding shadows behind. This effect pretty effectively pulls you into the moment. 3-color; 17 x 11 in.

A blurred and pretty severely cropped photo, along with the slanted headline, to put you in the middle of the chaos and celebration. The blue and white diamond pattern represents the Bavarial flag, and the amber squres for, of coures, beer. 3-color; 17 x 11 in.

Dog Show
dog

The Chicago IKC dog show is one of the few benched dog shows in the country, which means the audience is allowed to get up-close to the dogs to ask questions or observe. Which is the reason for the close, in-your-face picture. 2-color; 11 x 17 in.

Rock Climbing the Colorado Flatirons
flatirons

An homage to Swiss graphic design. The angled text and horizon are also used as an astraction of the flatiron formations, located, surprisingly enough, in Colorado. 2-color; 11 x 17 in.

Dig Europe
dig

The narrow column of text acts as a buried object, to be uncovered by the diggers. It's meant to feel slighty claustrophobic, as the ground pushes in on it from both sides. 2-color; 11 x 17 in.
