I learned how to be a designer at Columbia College Chicago. But I get better at it by getting up every day and doing the work. By day a full-time designer at one of the largest community colleges in the country. By night a freelancer, teacher and learner (There's always more learning). Sometimes I work on cards and invitations. If you asked, I would tell you clean, deceptively simple work and nicely done typography seem just about right.
